Benefit

  • Erasmus Mundus Grants:
  • cover all tuition fees and as well as a living allowance of €1,400 per month and basic medical coverage.
  • Erasmus+ Grants
  • Students who do not receive an Erasmus Mundus scholarship and study at one of the European partner universities can apply for an Erasmus+ grant for up to one year amounting to approx. €500-600 per month.
  • This grant can only be provided for the second year in the programme. The application for the grant should be addressed to the first year university.

  • Curriculum vitae in English (1-3 pages) (You may consider using the Europass CV as a template.)
  • Motivation letter in English (1–2 pages).
  • Proof of nationality (e.g. copy of passport)
  • Proof of residence ( can be either provided in the form of a residence certificate issued by the candidate’s municipality OR a certificate from the candidate’s place of work, study, or training issued by the respective institution)
  • High school diploma (secondary school leaving certificate, e.g. Baccalaureate, A Levels) or equivalent (AND certified translation into English, if the document is not issued in English or German)
  • If you have an Ijazah - Sekolah Menengah Atas or Madrasah Aliyah,
  • then we need the following documents:
  • Your school leaving certificate
  • Your national exam results (if available)
  • If you also have an international school leaving certificate,
  • (e.g. A General Certificate of Education A Level or a High School Diploma), please submit that certificate as well.
  • Official high school transcripts (AND certified translation into English, if the document is not issued in English or German)
  • University diplomas ( evidence of all completed degrees (e.g. Bachelor’s, Master’s, Diplom) (AND certified translation into English, if the document is not issued in English or German)
  • Complete official transcripts of records from your university (AND certified translation into English, if the document is not issued in English or German)
  • English test results
  • Proof of knowledge of another foreign language (different from your native language and English)
  • One recommendation letter by an academic teacher
  • If applicable, proof of extracurricular activities and work experience (e.g. copies of employment certificates)

The decision on admission is made by the EMGS Study Purposes and Selection Committee and are based on the following criteria: 50%: Academic excellence and quality/recognition of home institution that has awarded the first degree 15%: Motivation and academic potential 20%: Compatibility of previous degree(s) with the EMGS programme 15%: Work experience/professional qualifications
